Enhance podcast with chapters on Windows, PC, Linux

Drawing on its experience in podcast hosting, Djpod has developed unique tools to make your life easier. Enhancing podcasts online is one such tool.

You're used to seeing podcasts chaptered, illustrated with links on the pictures when you read the episode from your iPod or iPhone ... but you've read everywhere that you need a Mac to create an enhanced podcast, because the only software for this operation is Garage Band.

So we have developed this unique tool to enhance a podcast online, with mp3 files.

Enhance your podcast online with our player

Use the Djpod player to set the timing start of each chapter: you set the cursor somewhere in the mix, you click "Add chapter", and you just have to set the parameters of this chapter (see below).

Even more simple: You select a time from the list (5, 7, 10 minutes ...) and click on "Make chapters automatically": website automatically creates as many chapters as you need on your episode, every 7 minutes for example!

Artwork of the podcast

You can adjust the beginning of the chapter with the "Refresh the timing" button or simply delete the chapter if you made a mistake.

A simple click on the "Browse" button lets you choose directly in your computer the pictures that will illustrate the chapters.

Add links to your artwork

With our enhance tool, you can also insert a link on a picture to redirect to a webpage: the biggest podcasts are using this method for links to their website, Facebook page, Twitter, etc. An example below with the podcast Zemixx of Joachim Garraud:

Search for images on Flickr or Picasa

You do not have time to search for images, crop them, sort them, upload them ... to illustrate your podcast? With the "Search Web" button, you access a public database of images (Picasa or Flickr), where you can research images and then integrate it into your chapter. VHere is an example of a search for "guetta" on Flickr:

After clicking on the first image of the research, it is automatically integrated into the chapter!

Processing of your file

When you've finished creating your chapters on the site, you save the settings, and our server does the rest!

  • Upload your MP3 and images on our MacOS server
  • Encoding to AAC (Apple codec) at 128 kbps
  • Enhance file creation with data entered on the website
  • Upload of the enhanced file on your podcast

This operation is fully automated and takes only minutes!

Your episode is ready for download!

Below is the result of an episode of chapters on an iPhone, and iTunes (PC).
